It is a sad day for companies like Square Enix to see one of their employees leave. Whether they have certain needs not being met or just looking for a fresh start, it may be for the best for art director Yusuke Naora.
According to Forbes, the "Final Fantasy XV" art director just tweeted his letter of resignation stating that he left the well-known company in Japan on Sept. 30. Naora has been working for the company for 24 years and mentioned that "Final Fantasy XV" is the last game he has worked on. He has also been given the honor to see the ending of latest title in the franchise, in which he will be given credit for.
Reasons behind his departure revolve around more time to spend with his family back in his hometown of Izumo. But, this isn't his total "goodbye" to the company. While he gets to spend more time with the family, he plans to continue contributing concept art to Square Enix as a freelancer.
Other than that, he might be freelancing for other companies as well.
Naora was known for being the creative artistic mind behind "Final Fantasy VI," "VII" and "VIII." He also worked on other games as well, such as the original "Chrono Trigger," some of the "Front Mission" games ("Front Mission 4" and "Front Mission 5: Scars of the War") and "Vagrant Story," to name a few.
In recent related news, PlayStation Lifestyle covered an Active Time Report revealed that players can access an in-game radio (just like in other immersive games like the "Grand Theft Auto" series). The playlist will include a lot of the songs from the other Final Fantasy series for "Final Fantasy" veterans and newcomers alike.
