Another sci-fi, space exploration video game has been released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Titled "Osiris: New Dawn," the game is produced by indie game developer Fenix Fire Entertainment and Reverb Triple XP, and will allow gamers to embark in a space exploration to find and colonize other worlds for the survival of mankind.
According to VG 24/7, the massively multiplayer online space exploration game "Osiris: New Dawn" was released last week in its Early Access, gaining a positive reviews so far. Customers in steam were very satisfied and the MMO space game was pushed into Steam's top 100 played games. Now, Fenix Fire Entertainment's developers have announced that the game will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Gamasutra explained that the game will allow players to explore distinct alien worlds - both beautiful and dangerous. "This is just the very beginning of this epic journey, as we deliver what we think is a stellar experience to players," said Brian McRae, CEO and founder of Fenix Fire. "We plan to continuously add new content as we expand the mission. I look forward to hearing fan's constructive feedback and seeing what they enjoy and what they want to be added to make Osiris as grand as space itself."
"Osiris: New Dawn" is set in the year 2046, where the United Nations of Earth (U.N.E) sends out players to the vast reaches of space as members of the second colonization team. The destination for the exploration team is the extrasolar system Gliese 581 to study and explore the planets to see if they are habitable for human life. During the players' journey, the space vessels they're using malfunctions from the light speed travel and forcing an emergency landing onto a deserted planet. They are then tasked to survive by building a base while trying to endure the "unpredictable weather conditions" and uncovering the mystery behind first exploration team's fate.
The game will offer beautiful visuals, a crafting system, vast explorations and combat. Players will also have to cooperate with each other online to be resourceful and build and maintain colonies, while defending against the natural elements and indigenous natives of the planet, as well as enemies from other colonies.
The online game has already won "PAX West Best Indie MMO" award from MMORPG and the award "PAX West Best Survival Game" from MMOGames.
"Osiris: New Dawn" is now available for Steam Early Access for $24.99, while the console version will be available next year on the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and ID@Xbox program for the Xbox One.
