Veteran Bollywood actress Sridevi Boney Kapoor's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor has apparantely replaced Alia Bhatt in Varun Dhawan starrer "Shiddat."
As per media reports, "2 States" fame director Abhishek Verma has decided to replace Alia Bhatt as female lead in his next movie "Shiddat". Veteran Bollywood actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor's eldest daughter Jhanvi Kapoor has reportedly been roped in to play female lead opposite Varun Dhawan in the movie, reported Mumbai based Mid Day newspaper. The romance drama will mark Kapoor's debut in Bollywood film industry. "Shiddat" is produced by Sajid Nadiawala and Karan Johar's Dharma Production. It is likely to hit floors by mid 2017.
Earlier it was reported that Kapoor might make her Bollywood debut with another Karan Johan movie "Student of the Year 2." It was also reported that Johar is keen to launch Sridevi's daughter. "Karan, as well as many in the team, are really impressed by Jhanvi's acting skills and it's an added bonus that she is really good-looking," a source told Pinkvilla entertainment news portal.
Kapoor, already a social media star in India, is currently studying acting at a New York based institute. Earlier, the star kid was offered a role in a South Indian movie opposite superstar Mahesh Babu. However, Kapoor rejected the offer because she wanted to make her acting debut with a Bollywood movie. Kapoor is also known for sharing stylish photos on her social media accounts. Recently she shared a photo on her Instagram in which she was seen kissing her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya.
