Filmed by emergent Israeli directors, brothers Doron and Yoav Paz, is an acclaimed award-winning movie "JeruZalem" where setting takes place in the city itself. It won Best Editing and the Audience Award of the recent 32Jerusalem International Film Festival.

The film "JeruZalem" follows a story of two American girls on vacation who met an anthropology student during the course of their trip to Jerusalem. The two girls are played by Danielle Jadelyn as Sarah and Israel's budding scream queen Yael Grobglas as Rachel. Together, they tour Jerusalem with their newfound friend Kevin and party in its ancient sites. However, they unexpectedly find themselves amidst a religious conflict along with series of horrifying biblical apocalypse.

According to the Talmud, "Hell has three gates: one in the desert, another in the ocean, and the third in Jerusalem." The movie unleashes many demonic events brought about by terror as the three escaped amidst ancient walls of the holy city.

Doron and Yoav are sons of the Isreali filmmaker Jonathan Paz who grew up in Netanya. Their careers in filmmaking began when they were aged 10 or 11. The movie was filmed in a footage style through a smart digital glass. The movie highlights the city's culture and history as read from the Bible.

Yoav and Doron said in an interview that they want audiences to feel the religious yet dark and mystical city of Jerusalem through the movies' characters. They want audiences to "see up close what the resurrection may actually look like, in the most reasonable place on earth to start the apocalypse."

The Paz Brothers gained acclamation in their arthouse film "Phobidilia," which was an official choice of Berlin International Film Festival and TIFF. Their latest movie "JeruZalem" will mark a radical turn on how they submerge into hyper-intuitive horror storytelling."

For several years, they have wondered why nobody came to make an apocalypse movie in Jerusalem. The city is indeed perfect for it. As shared by Yoav for the movie's concept, the bible and scriptures initiate here, which makes it a perfect set-up for the story. "JeruZalem" a Pioneer Films will be featured in theatres nationwide on Jan. 20.
