Google introduces Pixel and Pixel XL Android smartphone on Tuesday, Oct.4. The new phone is the first Android smartphone fully equipped with Google Assistant. .
The 5" Pixel and 5.5" Pixel XL also make its mark as the first Android phone that completely designed, engineered and distributed entirely by Google, according to Computer World. For years, Google has worked together with its partner to make Nexus brands, but this time the company decides to take things into its own hand.
The predecessor of Pixel and Pixel XL, Nexus has been around since 2010. Google partnered with many phonemakers to build its own smartphone, HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola Mobility, and the latest one was Huawei with Nexus 6P.
