Although "Pokemon GO" caught the mobile world by storm reaching a staggering number of downloads and earning millions, Niantic has actually recognized the difficulty of players trying to catch certain Pokemon. To avoid their numbers from dwindling, the developers will be releasing a feature that will address those concerns.
These features are known as Capture Bonuses, in which they are related to capturing specific Pokemon types, according to a post in Pokemon GO Live. The said bonuses can be associated with their own designated Pokemon types such as bug-types, ghost-types, fire and so on and so forth.
What's notable here is that the values of these Capture Bonuses can stack. The more these values add up, the more valuable and useful they will be in aiding players capturing more Pokemon.
One example of this instance is when players get to catch a lot of Pokemon of the same type - let's say a Fire-type Pokemon, the Capture Bonus feature would give them better chances for them to catch a different Pokemon of the same Fire-type.
In addition to that, the Capture Bonus feature would give players better chances of finding and catching rare pokemon - that is, if they don't stop catching Pokemon. The whole purpose of this upcoming feature is to simply encourage and enjoy capturing these digital pocket monsters.
To give a short breakdown of what this feature entails, a number of the same type of captured Pokemon can unlock the next tier of Capture Bonuses. For instance, if players caught 10 Pokemon that belong to the same type allows them to reach the first type of Capture Bonus. Next, if they progress to catching the same type of Pokemon at 50 of them, it will unlock the next level Capture Bonus. And then, finally, the third tier Capture Bonus will be a result of catching 200 Pokemon that are in the same type.
This would allow players to strive in getting better captures with the benefits of said bonuses. According to Pokemon Go Hub, once players unlock a Capture Bonus level, it would increase their capturing rate to about five to 10 percent, which may mean unlocking more levels may give them 30 percent increase in capturing.
It is still yet to be revealed when this feature will be released, but this could be one of the "exciting features" that Niantic mentioned before.
