Bucks head coach Jason Kidd talked about the future of Michael Carter-Williams in Milwaukee. While Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive said his opinion about DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay, the two big man about thepossible trade.
Kidd said that Carter-Williams still has future in Milwaukee in an interview with SiriusXM's NBA Radio as quoted by SLAM. The coach said that despite all rumors about trade the team are happy with Carter-Williams in point guard.
"He's had a great summer and has worked extremely hard and it showed in the first game in Chicago," Kidd said. "He came off the bench and I think he led us in rebounds. He can be one of the best wing defenders in this league."
Meanwhile in Sacramento, the Kings owner Ranadive said that he is aware of rumors about possible trade of two star players Cousins and Gay, according to Bleacher Report. Ranadive discard the rumor and said that he will leave everything to general manager Vlade Divac and head coach Dave Joerger.
Before Kidd came out in defense for Carter-Williams, there are rumors that Milwaukee Bucks would trade him to Sacramento Kings for shooting guard Ben McLemore. One of the main reason, as the rumors said, is they need more shooter for their offense. But statistically, Carter-Williams has a better point per game than McLemore and he is also a strong defender as well.
While Gay was reported that he has informed the Kings management to to opt-out after the 2016-17 season to become free agent. Gay will waive $14.3 million salary for the next season, saying that he wanted to be with team with a winning attitude. Cousins is expected to follow him as his contract end in 2018.
Although the Kings have two strong players in their front court, but they have serious problem with defense. From 30 NBA teams, they ranked 22nd in defensive efficiency with 106.3 score of defensive rating.
