The second episode of "The Flash" newest season brings viewers to a very different world brought by Barry Allen's tampering of the timeline.

The episode was heartbreaking as the goofy Cisco grief-stricken about his brother Dante's death. Obviously, he is not ecstatic with his pal same with Joe who has gone frustrated with the change of the timeline. Joining them is Iris who is also mad with Joe for not telling her that Francine, her mother, is alive.

In an effort to repair all the fractures done to his loved ones, Barry organized what could have been the most awkward dinner date for Team Flash. Cisco argued with Barry and told the speedster that if he really wants to fix things, he should go back time and save his brother from dying.

Iris, on the other hand, sensed that Barry is keeping. She confronted him and implored him to be honest with her or their relationship will be over before it has even started. So Barry hurriedly went back time to fix things, only to be thwarted by Jay Garrick.

The other speedster then pulled Barry out of the speed force and into a cafe playing Dawson's Creek in 1998. He then tried to talk sense on Barry saying "We're not gods, we're men." He also warned Barry to make the right choice, to be the kind of hero who takes the easy way out with a do-over every time he makes a mistake, or the kind who accepts the consequences and moves forward.

Upon return to present time, in an apparent adherence to Jay's advice, Barry revealed to the gang the truth about their Flashpoint lives and warned them that they have to live with those differences because he can no longer change it again.

Cisco is not happy to learn Barry altered the timeline when someone in his family died, but he would not do the same for him. However, Iris comes to the speedster's defense, saying that they have all made mistakes to protect the people they love.

Then a super-powered Cisco rescues Barry from The Rival and Dr. Alchemy. Although they forgive the speedster, the team decides they do not want to know about their Flashpoint lives. For Iris, it does not matter what she and Barry were over there because they always find each other. Shen then told Barry to recreate their porch kiss from the season two finale.

Adding to all this workplace drama is Barry's co-worker, meta-human CSI specialist Julian Albert, who obviously loathes him.
