Indian twice Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar has plans of shifting his career from Olympian to a wrestler. He has been taxing to find opportunity after getting cold-shoulder from the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) for the Rio Olympics.

At the moment, Kumar is conferring terms with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) network for a possible venture into Pro-Wrestling.  On Saturday, the Canyon Ceman's head of talent development arrived in New Delhi to rendezvous with the Olympic medalist's agent. A Sushil Kumar camp close source verified that they are in negotiations with other accounted wrestling brands, in terms of Sushil's Pro Wrestling career, as reported by Sportskeeda.

"We are planning on introducing Sushil to Pro Wrestling in late 2017, and we are also talking to various organizations including WWE to open a franchise in Delhi to groom young Indian Pro Wrestling talent."

Raman Raheja  confirmed that they are in talks with WWE. He said, "I can't obviously give you internal details of when we are meeting etc., but I can confirm that Kumar is very much interested in growing a Pro Wrestling career now." Raheja is the one who handles Kumar's interests when it comes to commercializing.

Should the agreement pursue, the contract will be in terms of crore when it comes to payment if both parties agreed. The talks could also highlight the possibility of the franchise opening up to Chhatrasal Stadium trainees, where Kumar is training, Hindustantimes noted.

As a matter of fact, Kumar is not the first Indian wrestler to join WWE because Great Khali or Dalip Singh has been engaged with the sport and gained many fans worldwide. Lovepreet Sangha was introduced last year but did not succeed in capturing the fans heart. He also preferred to miss out the WFI-backed Pro Wrestling League this year too. He said that it is no longer possible for him to be a part of PWL after the treatment he gets from WFI officials amid the Narsingh bickering and has no faith in the PWL concept.
