It was mentioned earlier this year that young billionaire and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg that he wanted to have a goal of building "a simple AI" to run his home. It was pretty obvious where he wanted to base this from: Iron Man's Jarvis. Now, with the hype flying around rampantly, it was even reported that Iron Man and Tony Stark actor Robert Downey, Jr. is said even voice Zuckerberg's AI.
Based on the earlier article in IGN, the Facebook CEO gave himself a goal to self-learn on how to work on the said technology. He'll be able to use any available technology and invent and innovate through that. Recently, he was able to set his eyes on voice control enabling it to "control everything in our home-music, lights, temperature, and so on."
He also planned to set the butler AI to do advanced face recognition even with known guests. One example is to automatically allow them in the house once they ring the doorbell.
Another function for the AI is to something akin to a nanny for their daughter, Max. Zuckerberg has the intention to "teach it to let [him] know if anything is going on in Max's room that I need to check on when I'm not with her."
And lastly, Zuckerberg also more importantly wants the AI to assist him at work, helping him "visualize data in VR to help [him] build better services and lead [his] organizations more effectively."
In related news, Facebook CEO has announced that the AI has already progressed a lot, and he begged the question of who should voice his very own Jarvis. Surprisingly in his Facebook page, it was Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) who replied, "I'll do in a heartbeat if Bettany (Jarvis and Vision) gets paid and donates it to a cause of Cumberbatch's (Dr. Strange) choosing...that's the right kind of STRANGE!"
The end of the comment actually pertains to Benedict Cumberbatch's upcoming portrayal of Doctor Strange, which is set for release on Nov. 4 on the US.
Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan wouldn't mind donating to that. Both of them have been giving away some of their money to charitable causes. Recently, the couple is planning to donate 99 percent of their Facebook shares, which is actually worth $45 billion, over their lifetime.
