Just for everybody's information, it's not a new thing for comics to try something new - or weird, even with all the seriousness of DC Comics. Just recently DC Entertainment will be teaming with BOOM! Studios and Saban Brands to create an unusual yet awesome crossover: The Justice League meeting up with the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
According to Polygon, the miniseries is being written by Tom Taylor (who also wrote "Injustice: Gods Among Us" and "Green Lantern Corps: Edge of Oblivion") and inked by Stephen Byrne ("Justice League of America Rebirth: The Ray").
Story-wise, the miniseries will first revolve around the Power Rangers' hometown of Angel Grove. And then something goes awry and causes chaos in the Ranger's power center which sends Zack the Black Ranger to an alternate dimension full of "citizens possessing outrageous powers and wearing strange costumes," as stated by a press release. The team will have to travel there to get their friend back before Batman shows up and captures Zack.
IGN also details the lineup of heroes from both sides. The Justice League of America will be having Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern John Stewart, the Flash and Cyborg. The Power Rangers, on the other hand, will consist of Jason the Red Ranger, Trini the Yellow Ranger, Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Billy the Blue Ranger, Zack the Black Ranger and Tommy the Green Ranger.
The miniseries will also mostly have artist Karl Kerschl for drawing the covers. However, each issue will have a unique theme, in which each of them will have a pairing from both the Rangers and the League. The miniseries will be released next year on Jan. 11. For the movies, "Justice League" will be released on theaters on Nov. 17 this year, while the new "Power Rangers" movie will premiere on Mar. 24, 2017
