ZTE USA has just declared that preorders are now being accepted for the Axon 7 Mini. The smartphone is the smaller and inexpensive version of Axon 7 which is ZTE's flagship phone. The Mini is priced at $299.98, which is way less expensive than the bigger Axon 7 priced at $399.98.
The ZTE Axon 7 may be a robust device but not all smartphone users prefer a bigger phone with a 5.5-inch screen. The mini version displays a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen (1080p) and is considered a budget phone. It is built with the same aluminum unibody design just like the bigger Axon 7, Android Police reported.
The Axon 7 Mini keeps the dual SIM slots together with the two front-facing speakers found on the larger version. Situated at the back is a fingerprint scanner within a fine divot in order to secure the device in the hand. The handset's modest body makes it easy to handle.
The additional device to the flagship has a built-in sound and playback technology aside from Dolby Atmos® that offers an immersive HiFi audio experience. Axon 7 Mini also sports a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera that take shots of spectacular high-quality images day or night.
Axon 7 Mini comes with Axon Passport Program 2.0 that includes unlimited repairs that are out of warranty, replacement assistance, 2-year warranty, upgrade assistance and a lot more. It also runs on Snapdragon 617, with a storage capacity of 32GB and 3GB RAM. It has a non-removal battery of 2,705 mAh an operating system of Android 6.0.1 alongside MiFavor UI 4.0.
According to Engadget, the first orders are compelled to ship about October 27, 2016. Although there are other phones offered at a lower price like the Moto G4 Plus which starts at $250, Axon 7 Mini still has the edge when it comes to audio expertise.
The Axon 7 Mini is available in two colors; Ion Gold is exclusive at Best Buy for the first two months while Platinum Gray is obtainable through Amazon, Best Buy, NewEgg, B&H, and www.zteusa.com.
