BTS has reached another milestone for their newest album titled "WINGS." Just recently, the Bangtan Boys have broken another record after their second Korean studio album landed on Billboard 200.
According to Billboard, BTS' "WINGS" garnered 16,000 units in the week ending Oct. 13, crossing the mark for best week ever for a K-pop album. The album also debuted on the No. 26 spot of Billboard 200, dethroning 2NE1 who previously ranked at No. 61 for their album "Crush."
Aside from that, BTS is also the first K-pop idol to ranked three albums on Billboard 200. Previously, BTS' EP titled "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2" ranked at No. 171 in December 2015, while their compilation album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever" made it to the No. 107 spot on Billboard 200 last May.
BTS is one of the few Kpop idols who have made it to Billboard 200. On Oct. 10, the Korean boy band released "WINGS" and the official music video of its title track "Blood, Sweat & Tears."
"Blood, Sweat & Tears" MV crossed the 20 million mark on YouTube just a few days after it was uploaded, making BTS the fastest Korean boy band to reach the milestone, Soompi reported.
Not only that, BTS' newest album also topped the iTunes chart in over 26 countries, while "Blood, Sweat & Tears" dominated a real-time popularity music chart in China. On top of that, "WINGS" also topped several music charts in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Indonesia, New Zealand, Singapore and many other countries.
BTS released "WINGS" two years after "Dark & Wild" was launched. Aside from their Korean studio album, the boy group has also released a couple of Japanese studio albums namely, "Wake Up" and "Youth."
