South Korean idol singer Kim Seolhyun, professionally known as Seolhyun, has been named the Model of the Year at the 13th annual TV CF awards. Read on for more details.
According to Kdramastars, the AOA dancer was honoured with the award at the ceremony that was organised at Seoul's City Hall on Jan. 14, Thursday. She has now joined the league of previously named models of the year Jun Ji Hyun, Shin Min Ah, Kim Tae Hee and Kim Soo Hyun.
Based on public votes, Seolhyun was given one of the most coveted awards. The website notes that the 21-year-old model and actress rose to prominence and gained much-deserved recognition in 2015. She reportedly made to the Naver's list of "most searched K-pop idols" of 2015. She is currently pursuing her studies in the film department.
Seolhyun's career fields are constantly expanding. She started her career with the girl group AOA. She even featured in other music videos. She started her acting career with the supporting role of Seo Eun Soo in the television drama "My Daughter Seo-young." Following which, she nabbed leading roles in "Ugly Alert" and "Orange Marmalade."
Her first big screen appearance was in 2015 movie "Gangnam Blues" wherein she played the leading female Kang Seon-hye's role. She will soon be seen in the upcoming movie "A Murderer's Guide to Memorization."
Besides, she is the face of several brands. As noted by All K-Pop, she has been seen endorsing apparels, gaming chicken, cosmetics and more.
Now, Seolhyun has been selected as the ambassador for "The Year of Visit Korea 2016-1018" by Seoul Visit Korea Committee.
In additional news, All K Pop is reporting that Seolhyun has signed on to endorse online shopping portal, G Market. She has reportedly wrapped up photo shoots for G-Market and handbook's Lunar New Year promotions.
"G Market has always chosen the generation's icon as our models. Seolhyun is well loved by everyone through her innocence and sexiness. She's the hottest star in 2016, and we're looking forward to her unique bright charms raising our image," G Market said in a statement as quoted by Allkpop.
