The first "FIFA 17" title update will bring more responsiveness to computer players. This is in response to feedbacks that AI players were too passive.
AI players felt that the shooting command was not as responsive as it should be which makes the game more challenging for computer users, Polygon reported. This has been remedied by the update that makes the AI's a little less defensive.
The "FIFA 17" patch likewise increases the possibility of making an error on triple-tap ground cross. It addresses the issue of overrunning the ball after a skill move. Now, the "contentious fouls" can now be skipped.
Aside from "general responsiveness," of the AI players, it also makes several visual changes that involves the frame rate during the pre-match skill game, GameSpot reported. The new title update introduces new broadcast elements for the Premier League presentation. This includes animations and overlays on the roster and formation of the competing teams. The Premier League changed its logo in the summer which made it too late to be adopted in the game.
As a result of the change to Pro Clubs, players may find themselves with lower OVR than before the update. EA Sports said that this is intentional and will not be an issue because they will not lose any of their progress. The patch should auto-install when players start the game in PS4, Xbox One or PC.
"FIFA 17" is the 17th installment of the association football simulator under EA Sports. It was released in September 27, 2016. It is the first FIFA game to use the Frostbite game engine.
