The "Deadpool" sequel has already been in the talks as director Tim Miller and company have been planning development. Now, there are rumors on who will play the mutant mercenary Domino, and there already have six (or seven) actress candidates on the lineup.
Previously, there were reports of "Halt and Catch Fire" star MacKenzie Davies begin considered for the role, a new shortlist reveals more possible stars for the role. According to Collider, the list includes Lizzie Caplan ("The Interview"), Mary Elizabeth Winstead ("Scott Pilgrim vs. the World"), Sienna Miller ("American Sniper"), Sofia Boutella ("Kingsman: The Secret Service"), Stephanie Sigman ("Spectre") and Sylvia Hoeks ("Blade Runner 2049").
Caplan has been known for roles in the movie scenes like "Mean Girls," "Cloverfield" and "Now You See Me 2." She also starred in television shows such as "Masters of Sex," "The Class," "True Blood," and "Party Down." She even starred in the one-shot "Item 47" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Claire Weiss.
Winstead has appeared numerous films as well like "Final Destination 3," "Black Christmas," "Death Proof," "The Thing," "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," "Live Free or Die Hard," and "A Good Day to Die Hard." She was also known for her role as Ramona Flowers in Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World." Recently, she starred in "10 Cloverfield Lane" and will be featured in Season 3 of "Fargo" on FX in 2017.
The other actresses were known in other movies like Sienna Miller in "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" as the Baroness and "American Sniper," portraying Taya Ranae Kyle. Sofia Boutella was also known for acrobatic stunts in "Kingsman: The Secret Service" as Gazelle and in "Star Trek Beyond" as the alien warrior named Jaylah. Sigman was in the first two seasons of Netflix crime drama "Narcos" as Valerie Vélez, and played Estrella in "007 SPECTRE." Sylvia Hoeks is an actress and model who had a role in the Dutch television series "Overspel" and will playing roles in "The Lake" and "Blade Runner 2049."
The first "Deadpool" film was an unexpected smash hit that earned more than $700 million worldwide, making it "one of the highest grossing comic book movies of all time," according to Comicbook.com.
"Deadpool 2" will be bringing back Ryan Reynolds as the "Merc with a Mouth" Wade Wildson (better known as Deadpool). It was also teased at the post-credits scene that the time-travelling mutant named Cable will be joining the action scene.
