It looks like the smartwatch Samsung Gear S3 is set to launch in mid-November in Canada. The device will also be available in the United States and some European nations.
Exact date for its release was not disclosed, however, the Canadian Best Buy page stipulated an expected shipping date of Nov. 18. The Classic and Frontier variants of the Samsung Gear S3 is priced at $469.99 CAD ($352 USD) with free shipping in the website and are available on a pre-order basis.
Classic and Frontier will look similar to Gear S2 with a built-in LTE connectivity, enabling to work even without a smartphone. As reported by The Economic Times, Samsung claims that the Gear S3 have up to four days of battery life, support wireless charging and run on a Tizen OS.
Adding that the Gear S3 has the aesthetics of a truly premium watch with advanced features. Further revealing that the gear is built to go days without needing a phone or to recharge which will make users feel free.
Gear S3 also has a built-in GPS which give users freedom to explore without needing a smartphone. It also lets you check your distance and track your progress from your daily run to suggesting a trails when you need to go for a walk.
Samsung Gear S3 will also be available in India on November with a price ranging between Rs 20,000-30,000 ($298-$448 USD). Various improvements are also available with the newest Gear S3 including support for contactless payment via Samsung Pay.
It is worth noting that Samsung is currently facing a product recall on their Note 7 devices after some consumers complained of overheating and explosion of their devices. Currently, the company expanded their recall to the United States and is offering an exchange of another Samsung smartphone device or receive a refund to the affected customers.
