"Kung Fu Panda 3" co-stars Lucy Liu and Angelina Jolie recently attended the premiere of the upcoming movie in Los Angeles.
According to Pop Sugar, Liu and Joley were joined by their co-stars Jack Black, Kate Hudson and Bryan Cranston.
In an interview with ET Online, the actress/director revealed why her children, four of which lent their voice for the film, didn't attend the red carpet premiere of the animated film.
"They were kind of shy. They don't want to be actors, but I didn't want them to miss the opportunity. They came in and they had a lot of fun," she said.
Pax, 12, Zahara, 10, Shiloh 9, and Knox, 7, all had some parts in the upcoming Disney sequel. Jolie gave life to the character of Tigress.
Meanwhile, "Kung Fu Panda 3" will follow the lives of Po (Black) and his long-lost father. During their reunion, the father-son tandem will come face-to-face with the villainous character Kai (J.K. Simmons).
During her interview with the publication, Jolie revealed that she accepted the role because she somewhat related to the story of Po and his dad.
"It handled it well, because it didn't brush over it. It shows that it's complicated and it's not easy and it's not over in a happy second," she said.
Hudson also gushed over her co-star Jolie and said, "She really is a tough cookie. She's so fabulous and then she just turns into this warrior."
"Kung Fu Panda 3" also stars Jackie Chan as Monkey, Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, Seth Rogen as Mantis, David Cross as Crane, Liu as Viper, Cranston as Li, James Hong as Mr. Ping, Hudson as Mei Mei, Randall Duk Kim as Oogway and more.
"Kung Fu Panda 3" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Jan. 29, 2016.
