"The Walking Dead" star Steven Yeun has gained popularity for playing the role of Glenn Rhee on the hit AMC TV series.

5 His real name isn't Steven Yeun
Yeun's real name isn't Steven. In 1983, the actor was born in Seoul, South Korea and his parents gave him the name Yeun Sang-yeop.
After leaving South Korea to live in North America, Yeun decided to join the movie and film industry and was given a name that's much easier to pronounce than his actual name.
4 He guest-starred on 'The Big Bang Theory'
Yeun previously guest-starred on the hit CBS TV show "The Big Bang Theory," according to What Culture.
During its inception, Yeun played the role of Sheldon Cooper's (Jim Parsons) roommate.
Sheldon later on ended up with his now best friend Leonard (Johnny Galecki) as his roommate.
3 He's not fluent in speaking Korean language
According to Design N Trend, Yeun may have been born as a South Korean national, but actor is not really fluent in speaking his home language.
The publication revealed that this was the case for the actor because his family migrated to Canada when he was still very young. They later on moved to the United States.
2 He can sing
Fans of Yeun don't know that the actor also has a pretty good voice.
In fact, before becoming an actor, Yeun first wanted to become a musician and a singer.
In an interview with Da Man magazine in 2012, he said, "I also wanted to get into music, but man, everyone is so good. I played growing up at church and jammed with friends, but nothing too serious. It's a pretty tough industry, but then again so is acting. We'll see about music though, still want to give it a shot at some point."
