Celtics loss their second regular season game against Chicago Bulls. Al Horford deliver a great performance, but Celtics bench players are not as deep as Chicago Bulls to deliver an equal strength in scoring and defense.
Boston Celtics loss 99-105 at United Center, Chicago after delivering a solid play against the home team the Bulls. One thing is clearly seen after the game, the Celtics bench are not deep enough to overcome Bulls.
Horford once again showed a remarkable play. He brought the new perspective in the Celtics game as reported by Boston Herald. The 6’10” center brings in his unselfish game to the Celtics. Horford can play the game which open the space for his teammate to score .
Horford became free agent in July 2016 after his 9-year contract with Atlanta Hawks ended. He expected to re-sign with the Hawks, but the team decided to sign Dwight Howard first into the team, therefore Horford chose to find other team.
Celtics which are in dire need of center to strengthen their front court then signed him on July 8 with a four-year and $113 million contract. After signing him, the entire team were excited. Point guard Thomas said that he could focus to increase his shooting with Horford in town as reported by USA Today.
“How can you not love playing with a guy like that?” Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas said. “He knows the game, and the way he plays opens the floor for everyone.”
Since his first regular season game against the Brooklyn Nets, Horford showed his versatility on court with 11 points and 4 rebounds. He also made 6 assists which is a unique feature for center.
While in the second game against Bulls, Horford contributed 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. He also made one block denying Jimmy Butler’s scoring opportunity.
