"Star Wars Battlefront" continues to expand with their upcoming DLC set to coincide the highly anticipated movie "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." Electronic Arts (EA) will release the game as an expansion pack as well as a full re-release of the game containing all DLCs released in the past.
The Star Wars franchise continues to expand as "Star Wars: Battlefront" will soon release another DLC. According to EA, the upcoming DLC is titled "Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif." As the name suggests, the new content will focus on the storyline of Rogue One - the ship's name whose mission is to steal the plans for the Death Star.
The exact release date of the expansion was not revealed however, the developer announced that the game will be released along with the upcoming film this December. Since the film is set for Dec. 16 release, gamers should be able to enjoy the new DLC during these dates. According to EA, Season Pass holders of the game can get a copy of the DLC ahead of the official release.
But EA is not only releasing the downloadable content in time for holiday shoppers and fans of the popular movie franchise. According to Video Gamer, EA is also set to re-release the game complete with DLC content including the upcoming Rogue One: Scarif expansion.
The re-release of the upcoming game differs per country and console. In US, Amazon sells the game for only $39.99 while UK gamers can also buy the game soon at nearly the same price on PlayStation Store but can only enjoy the game only through online stores. Xbox players on the other hand, will have to wait for the holiday season for its release.
"Star Wars Battlefront" upcoming DLC is inspired by the upcoming "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." Aside from the expansion, EA will also re-release the game along with the additional expansion packs just in time for the holiday. Competitively priced and early released for PlayStation gamers through Season Pass, Xbox players will have to wait a little bit before the game is available for most major consoles.
