"Arrow" has recruited "The Walking Dead" actress Juliana Harkavy to join its current fifth season.
According to Variety, Harkavy has been tapped to play Tina Boland, a detective who formerly worked at the Central City PD. Boland is described as a brash but tactful woman who is not a fan of masked vigilantes like the Green Arrow and his new band of recruits. She will appear in a recurring basis and will debut in the back half of "Arrow" Season 5.
This is not the first time Harkavy will play a role in the DC Universe. She also appeared on NBC's "Constantine" in 2014 where she played the role of Sarah. On "The Walking Dead," she was known for playing Alisha, an ex Army Reservist who was a member of The Governor's hit squad.
Following the announcement of her "Arrow" guest stint, the actress took to Twitter to express her excitement.
"Honored, excited, and proud to be joining the cast of Arrow," the actress enthused.

Harkavy joins a slew of guest stars on "Arrow" this year. The list includes WWE’s Cody Rhodes as a supervillain, Chad Coleman as Tobias Church, Rick Gonzales as Wild Dog, Madison McLaughlin as Artemis and Joe Dinicol as Ragman among others.
Created and co-executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kresiberg, "Arrow" follows the life of playboy Oliver Queen – who after a shipwreck returned home to Star City to right the wrongs done by his family and fight injustice. The series stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Echo Kellum, Emily Bett Rickards, John Barrowman, Paul Blackthorne and Willa Holland.
An all new episode of "Arrow" titled “So It Begins,” airs on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 8PM on the CW.
