Preview
Chicago has been the surprise team of the season as not many NBA analysts expected a strong start from the Bulls. Some have even questioned the combination of Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo, and Jimmy Butler, but the trio has been proving the doubters wrong so far.
The Bulls are still undefeated after three games with their most recent match ending in a 118-88 demolition of the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on Monday, as per Yahoo Sports.
Butler led the team with 22 points, six rebounds, and two assists while Wade and Rondo scored 12 and 10 points respectively. Starting power forward Taj Gibson contributed 14 points and 11 boards in only 25 minutes.
Nikola Mirotic led the bench players with 16 points and 10 rebounds while Isaiah Canaan and Doug McDermott fired 15 and 12 points.
"We only played a little bit together in the preseason, so we're still learning each other right now. We're only three games in, but we see it looking good at times," said Wade.
Meanwhile, the Celtics defeated the Charlotte Hornets, 104-98, in their last game held also on the road at the Time Warner Cable Arena last Saturday, CBS Local Boston reported.
Shooting guard Avery Bradley hit 8-for-11 from the three-point line and scored 31 points to lead head coach Brad Stevens' squad. He also had 11 boards and four assists.
"That's my mindset this year - I'm trying to rebound, pass the ball and make plays for others," said Bradley. "I work on my game every single summer and know I'm trying to put it in the game."
Isaiah Thomas contributed 24 points and seven assists while Al Horford had 14 points, four boards, and three assists.
The Bulls defeated the Celtics, 105-99, at the United Center during the team's season-opener on Oct. 27. Wade scored 22 points, grabbed six boards, and dished out five assists at that time.
Prediction
Another victory for Chicago over Boston. The Bulls are merely tapping the possibilities of the Wade-Rondo-Butler trio at the moment and their chemistry is bound to get better as more games pass.
