Preview

Golden State is currently on a four-game winning streak after losing their season-opener by 29 points to the San Antonio Spurs last month.

Their latest victory is an emphatic 122-96 rout of Kevin Durant's old team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, who the former league MVP torched with 39 points on Thursday at the Oracle Arena, USA Today reported.

Durant shot 15-for-24 from the field, including a 7-for-11 stint from the three-point line, alongside seven rebounds as he showed no mercy for his former club.

Stephen Curry had 21 points and seven assists while his Splash brother Klay Thompson fired 18 points, shooting 4-for-8 from downtown.

Durant admitted after the game that it "brought back memories" seeing his old Thunder teammates, but it was "back to business" once he took the floor.

The Warriors are as deadly on the road as they are at home, winning seven straight road games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are coming off a confidence-boosting 123-116 victory over the Dwight Howard-led Atlanta Hawks on the road at the Philips Arena on Wednesday, the second night of a back-to-back, as per SB Nation.

D'Angelo Russell led six Lakers who scored in double figures with 23 points. He also had four rebounds, eight assists, and three blocked shots in an impressive defensive effort.

Starters Nick Young and Luol Deng had 17 and 13 points while three bench players netted double-digits as well with Lou Williams, Jordan Clarkson, and Larry Nance Jr. hitting 18, 16, and 14 points respectively.

It was a remarkable all-around offensive attack from head coach Luke Walton's boys.

Prediction

No matter how much momentum the Lakers take from their conquest of Atlanta, it would take a miracle for them to defeat the much superior Warriors whether at home or on the road at this point of their growth. A lopsided win for Golden State is predicted.
