Based on Cassandra Clare's "The Mortal Instruments," television series "Shadowhunters" premiered Jan. 12. The show is now set to feature its much-awaited episode 2 as Clary Fray's search for her recently kidnapped the mother and the Mortal Cup progresses. The upcoming segment is titled "The Descent into Hell isn't Easy" and focuses on the search for Jocelyn. Here are spoilers for the next chapter of the newest fantasy drama. In its opening episode, Clary Fray's mother Jocelyn is abducted by Valentine and Clary finds out that she might belong to a supernatural community "Shadowhunters." When she enters the group, she meets fellow members including Jace, Alec, Simon, Isabelle and Luke. Together they work to get to Jocelyn and the main antagonist Valentine, who happens to be Jocelyn's ex-husband.
Moving on to episode 2. According to Freeform's synopsis for "The Descent into Hell isn't Easy" on its official website, the Shadowhunters attempt to reach The Mortal Cup before Valentine gets to it. At the same time, they must find Jocelyn and free her from the clutches of the villain.
Meanwhile, the institute is on red alert. Jace springs into action and discovers that Clary's memories may hold the answers to their questions and a clue to Jocelyn's whereabouts. However, Clary has lost all the memories related to her mother and this other life.
The only way to bring back Clary's memory is to take her to Silent Brothers in the City of Bones. At first, Jace and Alec are hesitant but they have no other choice but to visit Silent Brothers.
Elsewhere, Luke, Clary's stepfather, continues to look for Clary. Simon, Clary's best friend, tries to accept the turn Clary's life has taken. Fans can take a glimpse of the events of episode 2 of "Shadowhunters" via photos published on Spoilersguide.com.
Meanwhile, information about Harry Shum Jr.'s character Magnus Bane is not revealed in the synopsis. However, the much-loved character from the book is expected to be introduced on TV series soon.
