Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson has not been back to his form as a terrifying three-pointer. He denied that the arrival of Kevin Durant in the Bay Area made his shooting power to slump.

Last season, he averaged 22.1 points with 47 percent shooting and 42.5 percent from behind the arc, CBS Sports reported.

He ranked two from the bottom of the three-point shooting attempt in the league this season, just ahead the Philadelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington with 16.7 percent. Rumors circulated that his shooting slump was caused by Durant arrival in the Golden State Warriors.

Thompson denied that Durant is the cause of his shooting slump. He said that he always get his shots from his usual position this season. Therefore, it has nothing to do with Durant. He said that last season he also had a slow start in the beginning of the season, ESPN reported.

I'm not going to panic, playing like crap. It's November so I'm not going to panic. I had a bad start last year, too,” Thompson said.

The shooting spree duo Thompson and Curry in the Golden State Warriors was known as the Splash Brothers, due to their high percentage of three-point shot that splashed in from them. However, this season Thompson comes a little slow and many analysts and commentators try to evaluate his shooting slump.

On the other hand, Thompson admitted that he does not want to over-analyze his shooting. Last year, he also started slow with only 25 percent accuracy from behind the arc. However, at the year-end, he improved very quickly to make 43.3 percent three-pointer.

Thompson needs more time to warm up and be back to his last season’s performance as he has said that there is nothing wrong with his shooting. He also said that his shooting slump was not because of Durant as he said in the interview below:
