Prince Harry's latest lady love is set to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this month and Kate couldn't be happier about the news. On the other hand, the 5th in line to the throne just recently condemned the media's intrusion to the life of Meghan Markle, whom he confirms as his girlfriend in an official statement released from Kensington Palace.
In the statement, Prince Harry said they are "a few months into the relationship" and it's "not right" that Ms Markle should be treated as she is being treated when the news broke out she's dating the prince. The statement also reads that recent events have crossed the line and he would have to take formal actions against the media, BBC reported.
According to the prince's communications secretary, Ms Markle has been subjected to an onslaught of abuse and harassment that were made public. Some of the fictional stories concocted just to sell even made the front page of a national paper, smearing her with racist and sexist commentaries.
The secretary also said that some of these fictional stories have been concealed from the public courtesy to the legal actions their side has taken just to prevent them from coming out.
Meghan Markle, an American actress known for her role as Rachel Zane in the TV crime drama "Suits", has been secretly dating Prince Harry since June. She has already been introduced to his father Prince Charles and is set to meet William and Kate and the rest of the royal family later this month as things get more serious, Mirror UK reported.
The public will never know however this exciting meeting would go if the prince continues to be unhappy about the media's intrusion in their lives. Reports confirm that Ms. Markle is not the only one being harassed; her mother, co-workers, and friends are also subjected to the scrutiny. One reporter even tried to get inside their family house and one news agency has prepared to bribe her ex-lover for a juicy story.
The prince, who has been public about his dislike with the media, is reportedly set to make this relationship work and he's prepared to take the necessary legal steps to protect her. It is known that the intense media coverage destroyed his relationship from previous girlfriend Cressida Bonas. His mother, the late Princess Diana, died from a car crash when paparazzi pursued her.
