"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" Season 12 Trailer, Premiere Date
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is coming back for its 12th season on January 4 according to Deadline. Premiering on FXX, every major character of the hit TV sitcom series is coming back for more shenanigans. The latest trailer of the series provides a hint on how the gang will push each other's buttons and boundaries.
The short yet action packed teaser for the upcoming season reveals that one of the episodes will focus on the gang enjoying a day in the water park and another episode about Wolf Cola (the company Frank created to divert his massive wealth). According to Uproxx, the upcoming season will also feature another musical just like in season four "Night man Cometh."
The Gang and Frank's Wealth
For the unfamiliar, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is a sitcom in FXX focusing on a group of friends tending a bar they own although the bar is often just another place where they hang out - leaving the bar open for anyone who just wants to drink. Mac, Charlie, Dennis and Dee along with Frank (Dennis' and Dee supposed father) often starts the episode with a grand scheme only to falter mid-way and scheme against each other for their personal gain.
Each character has a unique personality and unique backstory that serves as backdrop for impressive entertainment. Mac's past with his father and homosexuality, Charlie's issue with Frank who could be his father, Dennis' sociopathic tendencies and Dee's scheming are all fueled by Frank's seemingly unlimited wealth even though they live horrendously.
Aside from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," FXX also announced the return of "Man Seeking Woman" and it's also set to premiere on the same date. The popular series about the gang in Paddy's pub is also set to return for two more seasons - a historic feat for a live action comedy series.
