Fans' complains about delayed promotions did not go unnoticed by Yang Hyun Suk as he has finally spoken up to address the matter.
In a press conference on Nov. 10, the YG founder admitted he is aware of the complains regarding the delayed release of albums. Yang even said he does not want to fail the fans, hence, he has decided to work even harder as a producer.
"Many fans of our artists complain that the albums take too long to come out. I have been thinking that I need to devote my own time to my artists so that fans will no longer be frustrated. I want to tell them that I will be returning to my work as a producer," Yang announced as per Soompi.
As a result, the YG founder will give up his title as TV personality to dedicate his time to being the producer of YG artists. This will happen after "K-Pop Star 6" concludes. According to Allkpop, Yang has been one of the judges for the Korean competition series since 2011.
"After leaving Seo Tae Ji and Boys, I've been producing since 1997. Then "K-Pop Star" turned me into a TV personality, and that has made me feel quite pressured," he said during the press conference.
Yang added he is happy for the opportunity given to him on "K-Pop Star," which introduced him to the public. "There are some things I gained and also some that I lost, but I'm happy that I became familiar to the public," the YG founder said.
