In the wake of Neill Blomkamp's "Alien 5" postponement, Lance Henriksen is definite that the movie will still happen. 20th Century Fox hold off the project to concentrate on the follow up of Ridley Scott's Prometheus, "Alien: Covenant".
Neill Blomkamp's should have penned and directed "Alien 5" which was previously reported to overlook the events of "Alien 3" in 1993 and "Alien: Resurrection" released in 1997. Henriksen along with Michael Biehn and Sigourney Weaver are expected to reprise their role, as cited by IGN.
Henriksen said, "Blomkamp is a really wonderful, wonderful writer. I have a feeling that if he did it, it would be something spectacular. And there's an audience for it."
But when asked about the movie 'Alien 5", he responded that he's not sure how he will be in it and that there will be another Alien movie and will pick up where the previous one ended. He also added that he doesn't know if he's going to be in a baggie or how he is going to be in it, according to the Alien 5 movie website.
Neill Blomkamp's "Alien 5" project still has no title as of the moment and could wait after the "Alien: Covenant" which is a follow up to Ridley Scott's Prometheus. The details for now are scant especially the plot but gave an idea who the casts will be. Although "Alien 5" will not premiere in theaters, it's showing sometime in the future will sure be worth the wait with lots of special effects and a plot like no other.
"Alien 5" was postponed to give way to the "Alien: Covenant" that is scheduled to hit the big screen on August 4, 2017. The new "Alien" movie is said to feature a lot of practical effects as well as introduce a new species of Xenomorph.
