Preview

The Clippers are currently on a four-game winning run since they lost to the Thunder at the Staples Center on Nov. 2. This game is a chance for head coach Doc Rivers and his men to redeem themselves from that loss.

Los Angeles crushed the Portland Trail Blazers, 111-80, in their most recent game on Wednesday held also at the Staples Center to climb to the solo top spot in the NBA standings, as per Yahoo Sports.

The Big Three of Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Jordan all scored in double figures with 22, 19, and 16 points respectively. Griffin also had 13 boards, five assists, and two steals while Paul had four rebounds and seven assists. Jordan chipped in nine rebounds and three blocks as well.

Starting shooting guard JJ Redick contributed 10 points while center Marreese Speights fired 12 points and hauled down eight rebounds off the bench.

Griffin attributed the team's current winning streak to their defensive play, as they held their last five opponents below 92 points.

"When you play defense the way we have been, it's a lot of fun," said Griffin. "We enjoy getting stops and look forward to getting stops. Guys are just flying around, and even if someone makes a mistake, there's another guy to cover up for them. When you are playing basketball like that, it's a blast."

Meanwhile, the Thunder suffered only their second loss this season as they drop a 112-102 game to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday also at their home floor of Chesapeake Energy Arena, Fox Sports reported.

Russell Westbrook continued its scoring tear this season with 36 points, but it was not enough to overcome the Raptors, who got 37 points from DeMar DeRozan. Westbrook also had seven rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and two blocks as he flirted with a triple-double once again.

Victor Oladipo backed him up with 18 points, eight boards, two assists, and two steals while Steven Adams had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Prediction

The Clippers won six of their last eight road games while the Thunder has won 10 of their last 11 home matches. LA is predicted to extend their winning run to five games as they get their payback on the Thunder.
