Gary has made a shocking revelation that he received text messages from his former "Running Man" co-star Song Ji Hyo while she was drunk after his departure from the SBS show.
In the Nov. 13 episode of the SBS show, the cast members could not come to terms with the fact that Gary was no longer a part of the show and set off on a mission to track him down and bring him back to the show for one last time. Once the cast was reunited with Gary, Lee Kwang Soo revealed that he used to receive drunk texts from Song with typos that read, "I miss Gary-oppa."
Gary also said that he would often receive messages from Song after she had had a couple of drinks. "Her message to me read, 'There's no one as pure as you, oppa.' She also used the word 'love' a lot that day,'" AllKPop quoted the star as saying.
When the cast teased Song by saying that she should have been good towards him while he was still on the show. "I was good to him when he was here," she replied, as everyone broke out in laughter.
Last month, Gary announced that he would be leaving the show to focus on his music career. The 38-year-old starred on the SBS variety show for six years, ever since the show's debut in 2010.
Song final episode as a cast member on "Running Man," titled "Messy Special/Goodbye Gary," aired on Nov. 6. Song tried to hold back her tears during the episode but broke down towards the end. She also cried a lot at Gary's farewell party according to the SBS show's producing director Jung Cheol Min, according to Yibada.
However, she was unable to contain her excitement when she was reunited with her Monday Couple partner and gave him a tight hug from behind. Check out the adorable photo shared on "Running Man's" official Instagram account:
