President Elect Donald Trump may not live in the White House and live in his $100 million penthouse in New York.

He developed a pattern during the election period where he would return to the Trump Tower in New York from where he was campaigning, Telegraph reported. The Secret Service dreads this idea saying that it would be a security nightmare. They strongly suggest that the new President Elect live in the White House full time.

He lives with his wife Melania and son Barron in the three-floor Louis XIV-styled apartment that has a beautiful view of the Central Park, The New York Times reported. He said he loves the place, especially that he has been there for 30 years.

10-year-old Barron is also still in the middle of a school year in New York. This is another factor why he is contemplating whether to transfer to the White House or not. Barack Obama also had the same problem with his daughters still in the middle of a school year when he was elected president. However, the Obama family still ended up moving to the White House during the inauguration day.

Though he is so proud of his penthouse, saying that building the columns and carving on the unit is harder than the building itself, he still liked the neoclassical architecture of the White House after meeting President Obama.

For the meantime, the Secret Service has already beefed up security in Trump's New York penthouse after winning the Republican nomination. Now, everyone entering the Trump Tower has to show their identification.

According to Trump's advisers, the new president-elect is still digesting the idea that his life will have a major shift after winning the elections. So far, he is still holding on to things he is used to. As he gradually gets comfortable with the presidency, he will still spend more time living in the White House, according to these advisers.

His penthouse in the Trump Tower is located at the 58^th floor of the building, while his office is at the 26^th floor. He routinely wakes up 5 a.m. and reads the papers, especially The New York Times and The New York Post. After that he would tune in to the morning news on TV.
