K-pop singer Won Minji, professionally known as Anda, has reportedly been proposed for marriage. A United Arab Emirates billionaire has asked the 24-year-old songstress' hand in marriage. Read on for details.
According to Kpopstarz, Sheikh Mansour met Anda while visiting Hong Kong recently. Following which, the Mansour, whose actual name is Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, sent a proposal to the pop singer. The website notes that the rumour was confirmed by Anda's agency in a recent interview.
In a statement published on m.entertainment.naver.com (as quoted by Kpopstarz), it is revealed that Anda has no relationship with the Sheikh who she met during an event. Also, she has turned down the offer.
"She knows him, but the two do not have any deeper relationship. It is true that he was smitten with her at the Hong Kong event they both attended, but she politely declined his offer," the statement by Anda's agency reads.
Mansour belongs to the ruling family of Abu Dhabi. He is a deputy prime minister of the UAE and minister of presidential affairs. In its report, Seoul News notes that the incident took place three months ago. At the time, he was on holiday in Hong Kong.
