After the three-year break, 37-year-old Korean actor Park Si-hoo is set to make a comeback. He will be starring in the upcoming k-drama OCN drama.
According to Kdramastars, Park will appear in "Neighbourhood Hero." He will be playing the role of Baek Si Yoon, a bar owner who later becomes a crime-fighting undercover hero. He is determined to eradicate crime in the neighbourhood. It is said that the television series will be packed with action
Helmed by director Kwak Jung Eun, "Neighbourhood Hero" is a story about ex-secret agent. Struggling with his past and battling inner demons, Park's character fights the crime in the area.
In the wake of a scandal, Park has been away from the industry. The actor reportedly faced charges of sexual assault that were eventually withdrawn. Park was last seen on television in 2012 in "Cheongdam-dong Alice" and the movie "Confession of Murder." Later, in 2014, he appeared in Japanese movie "Scent." In 2015, he made his comeback in Korean movies with "After Love."
In his recent interview, Park expressed his feelings about his return. "The feeling is new and I'm a bit nervous," Park said as quoted by allkpop. "I'm so happy to be at an event like this again that I feel like I'm dreaming. My heart was beating so fast that I could hardly sleep last night. I hope that you'll view me with a positive mindset."
While speaking about his role in the television series, Park said: "It was a time to grow. It feels like a dream to do a drama like 'Neighbourhood Hero,' and I'm very happy."
"Neighbourhood Hero" will go on air on Saturdays and Sundays starting from Jan. 23 and closing on March 13. Lee Soo Hyuk and Kwon Yuri will be seen working alongside Park in the show. Fans can take a glimpse of "Neighbourhood Hero" through photos published on allkpop.
