It's confirmed! BTS' V and Jin, B2ST's Yoseob, and SISTAR's Hyorin will be lending their voice for the upcoming drama series "Hwarang." The K-pop artists will be singing the OST songs for the upcoming drama series.
Playing as Hanseong in the drama, BTS V will also be singing together with fellow band member Jin in their OST. In a report by Allkpop, this is the first time the two will be singing an OST for a drama.
B2ST's Yoseob, also a K-pop's top vocalists, has his own set of OSTs. The singer is behind the OSTs of the K-Dramas "Scholar Who Walks the Night" starring Lee Joon Gi and Shim Chang Min, "The Night Watchman's Journal" starring Jung Il Woo and Sung Hee and Lee Soo Kyung and Yoon Doo Joon's "Let's Eat."
Long demonstrated herself as one of the best K-pop singers in the industry, SISTAR's Hyorin has sung a bunch of OSTs in the past. The 25-year old singer is behind the OST songs for Kim Woo Bin and Bae Suzy's "Uncontrollably Fond," Kang So and Yoo Yeon Seok's "Warm and Cozy," Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun's "You Who Came From the Stars," Gong Hyo Jin and So Ji Sub's "The Sun of My Lord," as well as the Korean version of Disney's "Frozen" "Let It Go."
The upcoming KBS2 drama "Hwarang" depicts the story of a group of youths who grow through passion and love in Seorabeol, the capital of the Kingdom of Silla, Soompi reported. Silla was one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, and one of the world's longest sustained dynasties.
Once allied with China, it began as chiefdom in the Samhan confederacies. Eventually, Silla conquered the two other kingdoms, Baekje in 660 and Goguryeo in 668.
The drama will star actors Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, Go Ara, Minho, Do Ji Han, Jo Yoon Woo, and BTS' V. "Hwarang" is slated for release on Dec. 19 at 10 p.m. KST on KBS2.
