Preview

Philadelphia continues to settle at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings after losing four of their last six matches.

The team dropped a 112-108 game to reigning champions Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday at their home court of Wells Fargo Center for their third consecutive loss, as per the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Joel Embiid led the Sixers with 22 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three blocked shots in only 25 minutes of playing time.

Three other starters scored in double figures, namely Ersan Ilyasova, Gerald Henderson, and Sergio Rodriguez who had 13, 13, and 12 respectively.

Backup center Jahlil Okafor led the bench with 14 points and nine boards while Nik Stauskas and Dario Saric contributed 11 and 10 points also as part of the second unit.

Embiid will reportedly miss this game against Toronto as part of his workload management after spending his first two seasons in the NBA rehabbing a foot injury. He is also still currently on a 24-minute per game restriction.

Meanwhile, the Raptors have won two straight games after suffering two consecutive setbacks and are currently at second place behind the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference standings.

Toronto defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 105-99, on the road at the BMO Harris Bradley Center last Friday, ESPN reported.

DeMar DeRozan continues to top-score for his squad with 26 points on 9-for-18 shooting. He also had seven rebounds and four assists.

Backcourt partner Kyle Lowry had 19 points, five boards, six assists, and two steals while other starters DeMarre Carroll and Jonas Valanciunas both scored in double digits with 14 and 12 points respectively.

Off the bench, power forward Patrick Patterson chipped in 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Prediction

Toronto has been unstable at home with a 4-3 record so far this season. Philadelphia is one of the worst teams on the road with a 0-5 slate. A blowout win by the Raptors is predicted.
