Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon creates music to communicate with fans; ‘I don’t obsess over rankings’

In a recent interview, Taeyeon revealed to importance of music to her, particularly in building a relationship with her fans.

According to Soompi, the Girls' Generation member considers her music as a way to communicate with her fans. Taeyeon even said she is not very particular with figures.

"I don't obsess over rankings. I'm just having a conversation with my fans through my music, so it's a little difficult to say that I've failed or succeeded based on ranking," Taeyeon said.

The Girls' Generation member went on, "I feel the happiest when I receive praise about my music. When I continuously receive good responses, I get a little nervous, but it does give me confidence to release good music."

Taeyeon added she is hoping to create music in different genres, considering the diversity of people's music taste. "There will always be people who like it and people who don't like it, because people have different tastes in music," the idol said.

She continued, "As I release music at the right time with the right feel, I want to slowly satisfy each individual listener."

Meanwhile, Taeyeon surprised Heechul with a coffee truck in the set of "Lipstick Prince," Allkpop cited. The Super Junior member took to his Instagram account to share a photo of Taeyeon's gift.

Heechul captioned the post, "Taeyeon-ah!!! Taeyeon sent me a coffee truck. Voice gangster, music chart gangster, skin gangster... #lipstickprince."

The Super Junior member was appointed as the MC of "Lipstick Prince," which is a beauty show for men. The show aims to tackle about makeovers and male cosmetics. Aside from that, some male K-pop idols will also join Heechul to talk anything and everything about beauty.
