Preview

Los Angeles is reeling at the moment with two consecutive losses after leading the West with a 14-2 slate in their first 16 games this season. The team has now dropped to third place in the Western Conference standings behind the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs after the two-game losing slide.

Their most recent game was a 91-70 blowout loss to the Indiana Pacers on the road at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Sunday night, as per the Los Angeles Times.

Head coach Doc Rivers' men struggled to find their rhythm offensively throughout the game as they succumbed to their lowest scoring game so far this season. It was also the first back-to-back losses for the squad this season.

Blake Griffin scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Clips while Chris Paul had 13 points, four rebounds, and only four assists, shooting only 3-for-11 from the field. DeAndre Jordan hauled down 14 boards but scored only eight points as he only shot the ball three times during the contest.

As a team, the Clippers shot only 31.4 percent from the field in their worst offensive performance of the year.

Meanwhile, the Nets extended their losing streak to seven games with a 122-105 defeat in the hands of the Sacramento Kings also at their home court of Barclays Center last Sunday, NBC New York reported.

Four Nets starters scored in double figures, namely Sean Kilpatrick, Brook Lopez, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Isaiah Whitehead with 22, 17, 13, and 11 points respectively.

Brooklyn led by one point at the half but a big third quarter run by the Kings put the game away for Sacramento.

The Nets are now second from the last place in the Eastern Conference standings with the Philadelphia 76ers as the only team with the worse record.

Prediction

The Clippers are impressive in away games with a 7-2 record while the Nets are terrible at home with a 3-5 slate so far this season. A huge win for LA is predicted.
