Pearl Abyss, the developer of the hit Korean MMO "Black Desert Online," has just released the first teaser about the next class they are releasing soon in servers: The Dark Knight.
Previously, Pearl Abyss just announced its recent expansion "Kamalsilve," which will have three parts that will be delivered on after the other, to be launched sometime early 2017. Among its new features are the Dark Elf class, new Tier 9 mounts like the Unicorn, and many more.
Formerly called the Dark Elf, the Dark Knight class can fight with a massive greatsword without losing her elven agility, and she can also be able to hit from a distance using offensive magical spells.
The trailer is reported to be more revealed on Dec. 15, with the slogan "her dark shadow falls!"
According to Dualshockers, the formerly-called Dark Elf class was teased back in April by the developers with a showcase of artwork during a conference in Korea. Even more recently, another live streamed event showed some character models for the expansion in Japan, along with the aforementioned other features of the "Kamasilve Expansion" like Tier 9 mounts and the new area itself, which will contribute to the massive and growing world of "Black Desert Online."
So far, a female version for the Dark Knight has been made available, but Pearl Abyss might be considering creating a male version soon.
Based on the lore of "Black Desert Online," Kamasilve is the land of the Elves, south-west of Calpheon, and is torn by a conflict between two elven tribes, the Ganel and the Bedir. The ranger class belongs to the Ganel and the Bedir is represented by the Dark Knight class. Since it is a three-part expansion, Part 2 feature the Ganel's point of view in the tribal conflict, while Part 3 will let players play from the point of view of the Bedir. It's still unconfirmed if the first part of the expansion will include the new class or during its follow-ups.
The expansion will be first released in Korean server, although there hasn't been news on when it will come out in the West.
