Since their debut in August, BLACKPINK has been receiving recognitions and awards here and there for their first two tracks "BOOMBAYAH" and "WHISTLE." Although we may have read a lot of things about the four-member girl group, it is still best hear directly from the girls their first impression of each other.
BLACKPINK's Rose was the first to share on "Laying Down Live by BLACKPINK" her experience upon joining YG Entertainment. "I came to [YG] for the first time and opened the door, but everyone was strangers, so I was like, "What do I do?" Rose said as per Allkpop.
She continued, "But [Jennie] kindly spoke to me in English and gave me a lot of tips. I did well on the first day thanks to her."
Meanwhile, Jisoo also talked about her impression of Jennie, describing the co-member as stylish because of her hairstyle. While Jennie thought Jisoo does not anything when she first saw her; however, her impression was changed when Jennie saw Jisoo worked hard to learn basic skills.
On the other hand, Rose thought Jisoo was cool, pointing out the co-member's "chic and black straight hair." Whereas Jisoo was captured by Rose's Australian look. "She looked like a cute Australian girl with a short bob on a kangaroo," Jisoo shared.
Jennie also recalled what she did upon knowing that Rose knows how to play the guitar. "It was the first time a member who could play the guitar joined, so I stayed up all night asking her to play for me," she said.
After dropping "PLAYING WITH FIRE" and "STAY," BLACKPINK continued to dominate music show "Inkigayo" with their performances of the new tracks, Soompi reported. Just recently, the girl group topped the music program with their "PLAYING WITH FIRE" performance.
BLACKPINK was tailed by Heechul and Min Kyung Hoon's "Sweet Dream," followed by Kim Se Jeong's "Flower Road." Watch BLACKPINK's "PLAYING WITH FIRE" performance on SBS "Inkigayo."
