The New York Knicks (11-9) will visit the Miami Heat (7-13) at the American Airlines Arena on Tuesday, Dec. 6 in a 2016-2017 NBA season match.

New York has been on a run lately with a three-game winning streak, lifting them to the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Their most recent game ended in a 106-98 win over the struggling Sacramento Kings in their home court of Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, as per the New York Daily News.

Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose both scored 20 points to lead head coach Jeff Hornacek's squad while Kristaps Porzingis was the third starter in double figures with 15 points. Porzingis also had 14 rebounds and four blocks to spearhead on defense while Rose had six boards and six assists. Brandon Jennings scored 19 off the bench and also dished off three assists.

The Knicks led by as much as 21 points in the first half but allowed the Kings to come back with an 18-0 run in the third period.

However, Anthony and Rose scored the clutch baskets near the end to help the Knicks escape with the win.

Meanwhile, the Heat snapped a two-game winning run as they succumbed to the Portland Trail Blazers, 99-92, on the road at the Moda Center in their most recent game last Saturday, Oregon Live reported.

Miami was led by a monstrous double-double of 28 points and 16 rebounds from Hassan Whiteside, who also had one assist and five blocked shots in the contest.

Goran Dragic contributed 18 points, nine boards, and eight assists in a losing effort while Josh McRoberts and Wayne Ellington chipped in 13 and 12 points respectively.

Prediction

The Knicks are 2-6 in away games so far this season while the Heat is also as bad at home with a 2-7 record. It would be a tough match from the opening tip-off, but Hornacek's boys have the momentum and are expected to prevail in another tight contest.
