Cast for the upcoming television drama "Neighbourhood Lawyer" has finally been revealed. Park Shin Yang and Kang Sora will be joining Park Sol Mi and Ryu Soo Young in the law drama titled.
According to Soompi, Park Shin Yang will play the role of the protagonist Jo Duel Ho. He happens to be the lawyer in a small neighbourhood where he practices law. It is said this would be Park Shin Yang's comeback show who will return to small screen after five years. The 47-year-old actor was last seen in SBS' 2011 drama "Sign." Prior to that, he appeared in "War of Money" and "Painter of the Wind."
The leading female character's role will be portrayed by Kang. She will be playing the role of Lee Eun Jo, Jo Deul Ho's partner at the law firm. As for Park Sol Mi, her role remains unspecified. The actress is said to be returning to small screen after three and a half years.
In addition, the cast will be joined by Ryu. He will portray the role of Shin Ji Woo. He happens to be a judge in the court belonging to an affluent family. His character will be seen clashing with Park Shin Yang's character.
"Neighbourhood Lawyer" is inspired by a popular webtoon that revolves around the story of Jo Deul Ho. Jo was once an influential prosecutor. However, he loses it all when he decides to blow a whistle on a corruption case. As his life undergoes a massive change, he decides to practice law in his neighbourhood and help innocent people get justice.
"Neighbourhood Lawyer" will be aired sometime in March on Mondays and Tuesdays on KBS. Helmed by director Lee Jung Seob (Healer and Oohlala Spouses), the drama has been penned down by Lee Kyeong hee (War of Money).
In related news, Drama Beans is reporting that Park Shin Yang will also be seen in tvN's latest variety show "Acting School." In this show, the actor will share his acting skills with other actors and help them become better actors.
