Korean star couple Yoo So Young and Son Heung Min have been slammed with breakup rumours only months after they confirmed dating each other. Rumours claims that the footballer and the actress have parted ways due to the footballer's father's demands. However, the speculations have been denied by the actress' agency and assured fans that they are still together.
According to ALL K Pop, an unnamed media outlet claimed that Yoo and Son have broken up after dating each other for two months. The report also suggests that after the breakup the two celebrities are on good terms with each other and "supporting each other as a noona and dongseng."
Meanwhile, the publication reports that Son broke up with Yoo because it was against his father's wishes. Apparently, the footballer's father did not approve of Son's relationship. It is reported that Son's father wants Son to focus on his football career.
"Son Heung Min is notorious for following his parents' wishes and would not date without his father's knowledge," the unconfirmed reports claimed. However, the claims have been denied.
The 23-year-old footballer plays for English club Tottenham Hotspur and the South Korea national team. He also played for South Korea at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was also a part of the team in AFC Asian Cup in 2011 and 2015 where the team ended up earning runners-up status.
As for Yoo, she is known for her work in television series like "The Women of Our Home" (2011), "You're Only Mine" (2014) and "High Society" (2015). She is also a former member of K-pop band, After School. Yoo landed the second prize for 75th Miss Chunhyang pageant in 2005.
News about Son and Yoo dating was confirmed in November 2015. "Yoo So-young has admitted to her relationship with Son Heung-min. They recently started dating," Yoo's agency Stariyagi Entertainment said in a statement as quoted by Korea Times.
Yet again, Yoo's agency has been the one to address the breakup rumours. The agency shunned the rumours and confirmed that the couple is still dating and doing well.
