Atlanta finally stopped a seven-game losing slide with a convincing 103-95 win over the Miami Heat at their home court of Phillips Arena on Wednesday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
Dwight Howard dominated the Heat's bigs, including center Hassan Whiteside, to lead the Hawks to the victory. Howard posted numbers of 23 points, 17 rebounds, four assists, and two shot blocks en route to the win while Paul Millsap was also as aggressive with 21 points, nine boards, two assists, four steals, and three blocked shots.
Point guard Dennis Schroder had 17 points, four rebounds, and seven assists while Thabo Sefolosha chipped in 10 points, five boards, and five assists.
Tim Hardaway Jr. replaced Kyle Korver in the starting lineup and contributed seven points and two assists while Korver had nine points, three boards, and five assists coming off the bench.
Kent Bazemore is sidelined for at least two games with a sore right knee. He is set to miss this game versus the Bucks and the one in Orlando on Tuesday next week before getting re-evaluated.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee has won five of their last six matches with their only loss coming against the San Antonio Spurs, a close 97-96 defeat on Monday.
The Bucks are coming off a 115-107 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night also at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, as per Fox Sports.
Jabari Parker top-scored for head coach Jason Kidd's squad with 27 points while Giannis Antetokounmpo had a triple-double of 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists with two steals and four blocked shots.
Matthew Dellavedova chipped in 17 points and four rebounds as the starting point guard. Three bench players scored in double figures, namely Greg Monroe, Malcolm Brogdon, and Michael Beasley who had 15, 13, and 12 points respectively.
Prediction
The Hawks are a poor road team with a record of 4-8 so far this season while the Bucks are 8-5 at home. It would be a tough call as Howard and Millsap are in their groove right now. However, Milwaukee is at their best in their home building and are predicted to win a close game over Atlanta.
