After crowning the "Bigg Boss 9" winner, the Colors channel disclosed details about the big twist the sensational reality television show will introduce in its 10th edition. According to India Today, Colors revealed that a few commoners will join celebrities as they attempt to survive in a house together doing difficult tasks for over 100 days. These contestants could come from any walk of life, belonging to any socio-economic background.
"'Bigg Boss' as a show is like a study in human psychology. One can learn so much about human behaviour through the actions of the housemates in a given situation," Colors CEO Raj Nayak said as quoted by the abovementioned website.
"As we take on this interesting content innovation, we look forward to receiving some interesting entries from our increasing viewer base. We will be scouting for some great contestants in the months to come. You could be a doctor, engineer, lawyer, teacher, preacher, banker, entrepreneur, homemaker, taxi driver, coolie, from any domain, any socio-economic background, have any calibre, if you think you are an entertainer, then this is the break that you have been looking for," he added.
The report also specifies the application process. The channel will be starting the casting process for "Bigg Boss 10" soon. For those interested, they can upload a three-minute video introducing themselves and explaining why they should be selected as a participant on www.colorstv.com/biggbossentry. The last day to send in your entries is May 31. It will be followed by auditions.
Recently, "Bigg Boss" wrapped up Season 9 after declaring Prince Narula the winner. According to Indian Express, he received 35, 18, 909 votes in the grand finale. He beat Rishabh Sinha, Mandana Karimi and Rochelle Maria Rao to win the most coveted prize.
As noted by India Today, Narula won Rs 35 lakh as the winner of "Bigg Boss 9." He donated Rs 5 lakh to the show's host and Bollywood actor Salman Khan's charity Being Human.
