K-pop group EXO and BTS' Suga made it to this year's Tumblr Top Album list. Tumblr is a microblogging social networking site which allows users to publish multimedia and other contents to a short-form blog.
The microblogging social networking site recently unveiled its "2016 Top Albums" list. Out of 20 artists in the list, the South Korean boy band EXO nabbed the 16th spot with their repackaged album "Lotto," while BTS member Suga got the 8th spot with his mixtape "Agust D," Soompi reported.
Tumblr revealed that a specific criteria containing four factors were considered in making the list. The four factors which were considered are: the number of post which contain the tag, how many times the tag was searched, the number of re-blogged post containing the tag, and the number of likes.
Earlier, Tumblr's fandometrics also revealed their "2016 Top K-Pop" list. BTS got the number spot, followed by EXO, GOT7, SEVENTEEN, and SHINee respectively.
The six member act Korean boy group VIXX landed on the sixth spot, followed by B.A.P, MONSTA X and NCT. Surprisingly, YG Entertainment's BIGBANG got the 10th spot on the list.
Fandometrics shows the results of Tumblr's efforts to compile a database of Tumblr's favorite entertainers and entertainments. It also tracks the shift in their users' collective affection.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG is now preparing for their upcoming comeback with "MADE THE FULL ALBUM." The group will also host a live broadcast via Naver's "V Live," an hour before their comeback.
"MADE THE FULL ALBUM" is slated for release on Dec. 12 at 12 midnight K.S.T. The album features two title tracks, "FXXK IT," and "Last Dance."
Also, the group will be attending "2016 SBS Gayo Daejun," along with other YG artists BLACKPINK and SECHSKIES. It is said that the group will be performing their upcoming new songs in the awards festival.
The "2016 SBS Gayo Daejun" will take place from Dec. 22 through 26 at COEX Mall. Upon its return in 2014, the event has been a part of SBS' Awards Festival.
