Animation Studio "P.A. Works'" anime TV series "Sakura Quest" would be released in April 2017.The storyline of this new original TV anime series revolves around a group of 5 young ladies who serve as tourism ambassadors to a small provincial town in the Japanese country side.
"PA Works" Anime "Sakura Quest's" would be the third "working" anime series about people and their jobs after Shirobako and Hana-Saku Iroha, according to "Sakura Quest's" official website.
According to the Anime News Network, the new "Sakura Quest" Anime TV series by "PA Works" stresses upon the idea of "micro-nation" tourism that originated from Japan's nationwide bubble economy period. Their post suggests that the concept of "micro-nations" aimed at reviving the tourism industry of the region. In addition, it said that "Shin Yamatai Koku" was the first to start it in 1977 and also, there were close to 200 such micro-nations in Japan.
The cast of PA Works' Anime "Sakura Quest" includes:
Ayaka Nanasa as Yoshino Koharo: Yoshina is one of the main characters of the PA Works' Anime "Sakura Quest." She longs to be a part of the hustle and bustle of the city, instead to living in a laid back rural province. Earlier, she had traveled to Tokyo in order to become something special, but sadly got turned down by over 30 companies after a rigorous job hunting session. Later, she heads to the town of "Manoyama."
Reina Ueda as Shiori Shinomiya: Shiori is an employee at the Manoyama tourism bureau of PA Works' Anime "Sakura Quest." She works along with Yoshino and loves her hometown. Shiori is conservative by nature and she prefers to maintain order in her life.
Chika Anzai as Maki Midorikawa: Maki had dreamt of being an actress, but her dreams were crushed and she had to head back to Manoyama. In PA Works' Anime "Sakura Quest," Maki takes up a number of part-time jobs including her job as a small theater troupe.
Chiemi Tanaka as Ririko Oribe : Ririko hates the rural town of Manoyama, but doesn't have the courage to move out. Ririko was unable to find a job after graduating from high school and had confined herself to surfing the net every day. Ririko's only friend in PA Works' Anime "Sakura Quest" is Shiori.
Mikako Komatsu as Sanae Kozuki : Sanae of PA Works' Anime "Sakura Quest" was born and raised in Tokyo. She had landed an I.T. job right after graduating college, which she eventually quit to lead a healthy sustainable lifestyle. She had rented an old Japanese house and had resort to web-designing for meet her daily expenses.
PA Works' Anime "Sakura Quest's "series script would be supervised by Masahiro Yokotani of "Free! - Iwatobi Swin Club" fame. Bunbun is known for "Yuki: Yuna Is A Hero," would be designing the characters, while Kanami Sekiguchi would be adapting them for the PA Works' Anime "Sakura Quest."
