Former B2ST member Jang Hyunseung has re-signed with Cube Entertainment after his contract expired in October this year. The "Troublemaker" singer has signed an exclusive contract with Cube.
Hyunseung has continued decided to continue as a signed artist under Cube Entertainment. He has been with the company for seven years, Soompi reports. In a statement, the agency said that they had signed an exclusive contract with Hyunseung. It is also said that they will provide him with a lot of support and assistance so that he can move forward and develop as an artist.
Cube Entertainment, however, clarified that Hyunseung's renewal is a different matter from that of the other members of B2ST. All current members of the group have announced that they are not renewing their contract with B2ST and are instead planning to put up their own independent music label.
According to Koreaboo, B2ST's non-renewal is not final yet and the members are still in negotiations with the company. Cube Entertainment has sent contract proposals for the members of B2ST and are still waiting for their response or confirmation.
In a past Instagram post, B2ST leader Doojoon gave hints about the group leaving Cube Entertainment. "Soon, it'll be our 7th anniversary... A lot of things will change, but hopefully everyone can get used to it quickly!!!!" the singer said on his page.
Hyunseung withdrew from B2ST in April this year in order to pursue a solo music career. Hyunseung consulted with the other members and it was agreed that it would be best for him to go a different path while B2ST reorganized into a five-member group with Doojoon, Yoseob, Kikwang, Junhyung and Dongwoon.
B2ST debuted in 2009 with their single "Bad Girl."
