Finally, EXO revealed the teaser for their upcoming winter album. The upcoming album will mark the group's fourth annual winter release.
On Dec. 14 at midnight KST, EXO's homepage has been changed from its "Lotto" cover to an inscrutable image of ice blocks formed similarly to the group's logo. The image was uploaded on SM Entertainment's photo sharing application called "Vyrl."
The image comes with a simple note, which says, "EXO Winter Special 2016," Allkpop reported. Apparently, reports revealed that the group finished filming their music video last month.
It is said that the group will be releasing five songs, with album titled "For Life." "For Life" is EXO's 4th winter album which features the title track with the same name.
EXO's upcoming winter album is slated for release on Dec. 19 at midnight KST through various music sites, Soompi reported. The group first released their winter album in 2013 with "Miracles in December."
Formed in 2011 by SM Entertainment, the twelve member band debuted in 2012 with twelve members divided into two subgroups - EXO-K and EXO-M. In late 2016, their label unveiled the group's first sub-unit called EXO-CBX, comprising three members: Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin.
EXO-CBX previously released an OST titled "For You" for Lee Joon Gi and IU's drama series, "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo," which previously air every Monday and Tuesday on SBS. The drama wrapped after airing 20 episodes on Nov. 1.
Talking about OSTs, the sub-unit premiered their OST for the multiplayer online role-playing game "Blade & Soul" last month. The tracks were produced by the singer-songwriter Yoon Sang in collaboration with NCSOFT West.
The 43-year old singer-songwriter even complimented EXO-CBX saying he was amazed on how the group went above and beyond. Adding that he was moved by how the group pulled through in such a professional way while constantly being vibrant.
